Christ’s Body Ministries is an inner-city pipeline for people in the larger body of Christ to serve poor, homeless, and broken people of all backgrounds, ages, races, and faiths. Since 1990, this 501(c)3 non-profit organization has been supported by the tax deductible donations of volunteers, churches, businesses, groups, foundations, and other benefactors.

A Place to Heal (August 2015)

Dear Friends, Tim Our respite care ministry is for single homeless men who are able to self-care as they recover from being hospitalized. We provide meals with Christian counseling and case management from Deb Butte.We can not provide the level of care patients would receive in a nursing home. Fortunately we are a small ministry so if necessary when the need is great we can bend these rules. As I often say “err on the side of grace.” This is especially true when one of our long time... 

O Ye of Little Faith (July 2015)

Dear Friends, As a Pastor, one of the most important things I must do is bring hope by encouraging the faith of our friends on the street. They hear all the lies of the enemy telling them that their situation is hopeless. I must always bring God’s truth and remind them, “Nothing is impossible with God.” Luke 1:37. I can sometimes think that as a Pastor I’ve got this faith thing down and then God sends someone to teach me that many have much more faith than I. I’m living a safe... 

30 Years Homeless! (June 2015)

Dear Friends, It was early on a cool rainy morning. We wouldn’t open for several more hours. I just “happened” to go out back to empty my wastebasket. At that same moment Ronnie’s path and mine intersected. I said, “Ronnie, what happened, you can barely walk?” He winced and told me he had slipped, badly twisted his ankle and spent the night in the emergency room. They had x-rayed it and when they found no broken bones, gave him a couple Ibuprofens and sent him back to the streets....
